For the final chapter of my Seoul stay, I chose the Conrad Seoul.
At check-in, I was upgraded to a suite on the 34th floor. The moment the door opened, what unfolded before me was a spatial beauty I hadn’t experienced at this scale.
Every detail — from the living area through to the bathroom — reflected an uncompromising commitment to quality. The view of Seoul stretching below from the 34th floor erased all sense of the ordinary, instantly. Standing in a space this generous and this refined, stepping back outside felt almost wasteful.
Choosing to Do Nothing — The Art of the In-Room Stay

I cancelled every plan I had made to go out, and switched to an “in-room stay” — a decision to simply inhabit this remarkable space. Caring for yourself, placing yourself in surroundings of quality — that, in itself, becomes the purpose of the trip.
The spacious walk-in closet. The refined bathroom. Each of these spaces offers relief from the noise of everyday life, and a quiet space for new ideas to form.
Tonight’s pleasure: in-room dining. A meal savored in complete privacy, with the 34th-floor panorama of Seoul entirely to myself. That kind of luxury doesn’t come often. A quiet, deeply rich evening — Seoul glittering below.
