Introducing The St. Regis Bangkok and Thailand Travel: An Oasis of Luxury
Thailand is Southeast Asia’s leading tourist powerhouse, with the bustling temples of Bangkok, the historical culture of Chiang Mai, and the beautiful beaches of Phuket drawing visitors from around the world. 39 million people will visit the country in 2023, and its rich food culture and resorts are popular. The St. Regis Bangkok is the flagship of the Marriott Bonvoy family of five-star hotels located on Ratchadamri Road in Bangkok, featuring 229 spacious guest rooms, 24-hour butler service, an outdoor pool on the 15th floor, and direct access to Ratchadamri BTS station. For more information, please visit the official St. Regis Bangkok website. Tourism information can be viewed at the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Bangkok Tourism Official Website for more information on Bangkok, and the pool information can be viewed at the St. Regis Facilities page. We enjoyed the pool at the St. Regis Bangkok on this trip.
Reason for visiting the pool: Relaxing in Bangkok
Planning a trip to Thailand with my family and decided to leave the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and relax by the pool at the St. Regis Bangkok, planning a 4-day/3-night itinerary, visiting Wat Pho and Icon Siam before relaxing at the hotel. Reservations were made through the official website, and a deluxe room (44 square meters, from about 35,000 yen per night) was selected. According to our research, the pool at the St. Regis is especially popular during the summer months (June-August) and is free of charge for hotel guests; as a tip, Marriott Bonvoy membership offers point rewards and priority use of the pool. Fly from Haneda to Suvarnabhumi Airport and take a Grab to the hotel (about 1,000 yen, 30 minutes). This choice started the healing process of our trip.

Pool atmosphere: Luxury oasis on the 15th floor
The outdoor pool (20m x 8m) on the 15th floor has a modern design and Bangkok skyline. There were numerous reclining beds, typical of a luxury hotel, and staff handed out towels and complimentary mineral water. According to our research, the pool is for guests only and includes a Jacuzzi and bar. In my case, I relaxed by the poolside with my daughter and was comforted by the warm hospitality of the staff.Tips: Avoid the crowds by visiting early in the morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Bring sunglasses and a hat because the sun is strong by the pool. The atmosphere was extremely relaxing.

Pool comfort: moderate coolness and pleasure of exercise
The water in the pool was moderately cool and comfortable in the Thai heat (32°C). I enjoyed breaststroke with my daughter and refreshed myself with light physical exercise. According to our research, the pool’s water temperature is kept at around 28°C and is deep enough for children to swim safely (1.2 m). In my case, I smiled as my daughter practiced swimming and enjoyed the water fun with my family.Tips: Bring a floatation ring and goggles for your children. Lifesavers are stationed at all times, so you don’t have to worry. This comfort was the lifeblood of our trip.

Poolside service: warmth of staff
Staff will politely show you around the poolside and set up reclining beds. Mineral water is provided free of charge, and alcohol (beer about 800 baht, cocktails about 1,200 yen) can be ordered. To enjoy with my daughter, I refrained from alcohol and ordered a mango juice (about 600 baht). According to our research, the butler service at the St. Regis extends to the pool and is flexible to guest requests; one tip is to order drinks early to shorten the waiting time. Tips include ordering drinks early to reduce wait times, and requesting non-alcoholic items if you are with children. This service made family time special.

Family pool time: bonding with daughter
Enjoying breaststroke with my daughter, playing in the water with a smile on her face. According to my research, the St. Regis pool is family friendly and children’s life jackets are available for rent. In my case, my daughter’s “I want to swim more!” As a tip, the pool is crowded after 3:00 p.m., so I recommend visiting in the morning. Capturing children’s smiling faces with a waterproof camera. This time became a warm memory of our trip.
Overall Satisfaction: Pool and Thai Attraction
The pool at the St. Regis Bangkok left a lasting impression on me with its pleasant water and staff service. Playing in the water with my daughter was the highlight of the trip, and next time I want to try cocktails by the pool.Tips, budget is ¥5,000/person/day for lodging and drinks. Note: This information is based on personal experience and conditions vary from time to time.
Private Wisdom-like Summary
Relaxation and family smiles fill the heart at the St. Regis Bangkok pool. My personal wisdom is that early morning visits and non-alcoholic drinks are key to enjoying time with children. The coolness of Bangkok’s sky and water quietly teaches us the richness of travel.
