Quiet luxury is being aware of the magic hidden in the margins of our senses. Stepping into the world of fantasy, we experienced more than just “fun.
The Door of Dreams Welcomed by Families
One day in the soft spring sunshine, my family and I visited “Fantasy Springs,” a new area at Tokyo DisneySea. The theme was “The World of Disney Fantasy Guided by a Magical Fountain. For this one day, we decided to leave our daily routines behind and experience the “extraordinary” to our hearts’ content.
One of the unique features of this area is the “Premier Access” fee system for attractions. We chose this option without hesitation for our special family time together. The choice to invest more than money in the value of the “experience”. It was a decision that also fit the sensibilities of Private Wisdom.
Flying in Peter Pan’s World
The “Peter Pan’s Neverland Adventure” was one of the most moving experiences. As I boarded the ride, I was enthralled by the immersive production, with the ship floating in the air and the wind whipping through the air at breakneck speed. Projection mapping and a three-dimensional structure fuse together to create the world of Neverland that spreads across your entire field of vision.
My daughter’s cheeks flushed with excitement, and my wife smiled without saying a word. We had entered “the story” and forgotten the boundaries of the real world. We, as adults, were looking at the world from the same perspective as the child at that moment.

A Storybook Meal for the Senses
At Fantasy Springs, eating and drinking are also part of the “performance. The restaurant we visited was a café adjacent to Rapunzel’s Forest. We enjoyed soups, quiches, and colorful salads made with seasonal ingredients, surrounded by the fragrance of flowers and the warmth of wood.
The space and the flavors of the dishes corresponded to each other, as if the dishes themselves were the continuation of a story. Each time we tasted the food, we felt more like “inhabitants of this world,” and we shared a “time” that was more than just a meal.

The Beauty of Continuous Walking
From morning to night, we toured Fantasy Springs many times. Strangely enough, I did not feel tired. On the contrary, the more we walked, the more we were surrounded by new discoveries and comfort.
Everything was a “designed story,” from the way the light streamed in, to the reflections on the water, to the way the flowers and grass swayed, and yet there was a richness to it that was like nature itself. More than physical exhaustion, it was a sensation that filled my senses. It was an extremely luxurious experience in this day and age.
Private Wisdom Summary
The word “charge” may sound cold. However, if it is for the value of “spending time with whom, in what kind of world, and for what kind of time,” then it carries an emotional temperature.
My experience at DisneySea Fantasy Springs taught me the richness of “investing in the senses. The joy of the rides, the delicacy of the gastronomy, the poetry of the landscapes, all quietly built up into a family memory.
True luxury is to feel the “here and now” with all of one’s being. The price we paid for this was more valuable than we could have imagined.
